Hawaii National Guard Counterdrug Program

The National Guard provides counterdrug support to federal, state and local law enforcement agencies (LEA's), educational institutions, and community based organizations (CBO's).

The Counterdrug Program has established a working relationship with county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies on Oahu, Kauai, Maui, and the Big Island.

Hawaii is one of the top marijuana producing states, therefore, the Hawaii National Guard Counterdrug Program supports marijuana eradication through the Reconnaissance and Interdiction Detachment (RAID) program.

Drug Prevention awareness, coalition development, and community based programs such as the Hawaii National Guards "unprecedented" Na Koa Crime Watch have reduced the drug presence in Hawaii considerably. In the future, the Hawaii National Guard Counterdrug Support program will only become stronger in the ongoing war against drugs.
